Joseph Kabila has called on the continent to unite to achieve unity |
Joseph Kabila, the DRC president, has called on the continent to unite to achieve unity. This is as the AU prepares for the grand debate on a united government in Ghana next year. Kabila was speaking at a banquet hosted in his honour by President Thabo Mbeki.
With about 20 agreements in place between South Africa and the DRC, the two leaders want to see them implemented. Kabila believes that the partnership between the two countries has had an impact on the reconstruction of the DRC - and in the long term, it will serve as an engine to develop the region.
This morning, the two leaders will take part in a bi-lateral business forum which will bring together the leaders of industry from the two countries.
